Course Overview:
SolidWorks is a solid modeling computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) computer program and SolidWorks is published by Dassault Systèmes. SolidWorks is a 3D CAD software tool that transports all tasks involved in product development into the visual and electronic 3D world for better understanding.
Course Objective:
The course objective is to make student proficiency in using Solid Works to design components, product assemblies, and Weldment designs and generate documentation. Student can use his skills to create 3D CAD modelling and Analysis for design, visualize, and test product development. Solidworks allows you to create product prototypes that accurately simulate the design from basic to Advanced.
Learning outcomes:
After completing this course, Students will Understand:
Translate conceptual ideas into product design
Solidworks Graphical user interface.
Creating and Editing tools of sketch, Annotative and Geometric Relations.
Understanding of Solid and Surfacing features.
Advanced curves creation in Solidworks
Assembly modeling tools and assembly relations.
Creating sheet metal design
Understanding of Product data Management (PDM) and Weldments Design
Generate Documents and BOM.
