Course Overview:

STAAD Pro stands for Structural Analysis and Design. STAAD Pro is a structural analysis and design computer program created by Bentley used for steel, concrete, timber, aluminum, and cold-formed steel design of virtually any structure including culverts, petrochemical plants, tunnels, bridges etc. It is used for 3D model generation, analysis and multi-material design. It is the world’s number one structural analysis and design software that supports all international codes.

 Course Objective:

The course objective is to train the students/professionals in structural Modeling, Designing and Analysis, Integrated Design and Finite Element Analysis. The student will learn about above mentioned modules. This course will help the students to familiarize on building design analysis stress, bending moment, shear force etc.

 Learning outcomes:

After completing this course, Students will Understand:

Starting a new project and its modification.

Introduction of Structure Geometry and Coordinate Systems

Inserting and modifying different structural elements, including reinforced concrete and steel.

Modeling steel connections between different structural elements.

Define and assign loads to the created structure.

wide range analysis capabilities ex. Wind load, earthquake analysis

Design steel structures and Connections

Reinforcement Detailing

Generating report of calculations.

How to achieve user-specified design parameters to customize design

How to perform code check, member selection and optimized member selection consisting of analysis/design cycles.

How to design concrete beams/columns/slabs/footings as per all major international codes.
